TimeGlider: Instructions

Displaying Timelines

TimeGlider has an upper side (above the ruler) called "north" and a lower side called "south": Timelines can be displayed on either side. So you can have two timelines open at the same time, one on the north and one on the south side of the ruler.

By default, clicking on the title of the timeline in the timelines panel opens the timeline to its initial focus, and places it on the north side of the ruler. To add a timeline to the south side, and for other options, click on the little arrow to the right of the timeline title and an 'options' panel appears.

There are four ways to display a timeline from this menu:

  1. north side, to the initial focus of the timeline
  2. north side, to the current focus
  3. south side, to the initial focus of the timeline
  4. south side, to the current focus

If you have a timeline already in view on the north side, and want to place a 2nd timeline on the south side:

  1. Click on the timeline options button for the 2nd timeline
  2. Click on the south-side "...and hold current focus"
