Within TimeGlider, images are a special type of event in that they are always placed at a specific date. The horizontal position (x-axis) of an image is always determined by its date. The left edge of the image registers to that date on the timeline graph. The date can be changed in two ways: either with the date fields in the image editing panel, or by shift-dragging it (see below). The vertical position (y axis) of the image is called the "y-position". This property can be changed in two different ways, either through the "y position" field within the image editing panel, OR by shift-dragging the image. SPACEBAR DRAGGING To move an image, you can simply press the spacebar key, then use the mouse to grab the image and drag it where you need it to go, both vertically and horizontally. As you drag the image, a date indicator box should appear while it is being held by the mouse, indicating the date-position of the image. Dropping the image will place it at it's new home. If you drop an image on the opposite side of the time graph, it will automatically re-appear on its original side. |
